Anya Sorensen is a Summer Research Assistant at the Partnership for Global Security, responsible for providing research support for the Initiative on Nuclear Security, Governance, & Geopolitics and the Global Nexus Initiative. She is also interested in research on WMD proliferation in the Middle East, conflict mitigation in the region, the potential for nuclear power in the Arab Gulf, and the impacts of climate change on future instability in MENA.

Anya is a rising senior at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH, where she studies Government and Middle Eastern Studies with a special focus on the Arabic language, politics of the Middle East, and international security issues. She has gained experience with international security and development through internships with the Clayton Christensen Institute for Disruptive Innovation and Rise to Peace, as well as through a research fellowship with the Dartmouth Political Economy Project.
